The enginehouse was located on the west side of the mainline along Rio Grande St. near So 4th. A few years ago there were still some cement footings in this area. I could not find them last summer. None the less the area is still pretty recognizable due to all the ash and cinder around it.
The wye was further so, maybe So 7th, or 8th...It is still there...and easily located from Rio Grande St. It is of couarse Std Gauge now...and missing the leg that had the draw on it (The So Leg) But it is interesting to see where the 3rd rail was spiked to the ties.
The tail of it crossed the highway to Ridgway(550)right next to the A&W rootbeer stand on its way to Cerro. Sorry to say this is gone now, and the location is behind a cinder block wall on the highway side. Hard to find from there.
