1997
Day one Chama Cumbres
Day Two Cumbres to Los Pinos Water Tank
Day Three Chama to Long Creek(This train had some rider cars and folks were allowed to ride).
A photo runby was done east of Los Pinos Siding. Past Los Pinos Phone Booth we came to a screeching halt due to the huge bolder on the tracks. Train was reversed and headed back to Chama.
That ended Rotary Ops. However a couple of days later a work train was sent to Long Creek with 488 and a loader to remove the debris from the dynamited boulder.
It was not until May 9th that the final snow around Osier was removed with a loader by the track crews.
Also there was quite a bit of rock dynamited around Wendy point on the first day of the 97 run.
Also marked the first year of the new paint job in Gray. Others were all in the dark red-brown.
