Listen to some of the C&TS videos.
I first think of the one sequence where five C&TS steamers crossed the highway 17 crossing together at the wye west of town when all five blew for the crossing. Five different hands on the whistle chord.
Another video had one of the 480s turning on the wye. The engineer blew for the NM17 crossing one way and then blew for the almost abandoned driveway (near the cattle pens?) another way.
Long can seem short and short can seem to be missed.
