I believe Kevin is refering to the Locomotive hoist. He stated it was made of iron. The goods transfer hoist that is part of the Maxwell collection is made primarily of wooden beams with a trolley on the top operated by cables. I believe the Locomotive Hoist was operated by the screw mechanism Kevin spoke of.
