Thanks Darren and others for your kind words. I would like to point out a few facts: Per the contract with CHS (which is public info), Railstar fronts the dough for the operation and is reimbursed…after the fact. This alone should show that Railstar has made a deep commitment to operating the Loop. Railstar does not have any control over how the revenue is spent. This falls under the control of CHS. Railstar presents a budget with line items we feel are necessary for the safe operation of the railroad. CHS then has the responsibility to make final decisions. It is of my opinion that this is a better arrangement due mainly to the fact that CHS can’t argue with anyone as to “to whom should fix the toilets” CHS owns all the buildings, track, fixtures, locomotives and cars….it is all their responsibility. I am pretty sure that I can speak for all of us at Railstar when I say that we are all very happy to be the “custodians” of this Colorado treasure. All politics and good/bad feelings aside....CHS is working hard on this project. We at Railstar will do everything we can to provide the utmost safe and fun experience for the folks that visit the Loop.
