Well, I will be honest here.. I figured all my picture's may help a future generation understand all we are doing now, so I actually shoot close to 500 photographs a week which are double stored on CD's in dust free secure CD storage boxes.. during Chama Steam and other specials, I have shot as many 600 photographs in a single day!!! Most of my Camera's last about a year and in that period, they shoot as many as 15 to 20 thousand photographs.. they get carried around everywhere I go, so I think they are actually pretty reliable.. most of them fall victim to dust and sticky lense's..
During my last count, I am nearing 75,000 railroad photographs, that will be a good collection for future generations to look at!!!! It's my way of preserving what we are doing now for the future...
And trust me, i was reluctant to switch to digital, but I have come to love it and although I still use film, I don't think I would be able to do what I do now without digital storage..
