Just a quick note regarding non road locos. I was also thinking last night about the various geared engines and was looking at the Ore Lbr. Co. roster. I am posting this from work and don't have the info in front of me but it looked like there were at least 3 Heislers that would be over 20TE and presuably the OLC. #7 Shay would be well over. The Wm.Eccles Lbr. Co. Heisler #3 that we have at the SVRy would be about 22,000 TE at it's original boiler press. of 190lbs. I think.
How do you calculate TE for geared locos?
