The good, the bad, the Goat...

There is a lot of good brought to the table by the Goat. Initially it was a forum where honest (if blunt) criticism of the procession of companies who (mis)managed the C&TS as well as the Friends and their officers could be aired(that is short-circuited here). Jay's reporting of the litany of crises the C&TS has weathered in the last 6 years is nothing short of excellent. Jay does not allow anonymous posts or post under fake names, something I long wished this board would do. However, Jay will not tolerate much disagreement with him, and has erected a subsription system that keeps his "undisirables" out of his chat room. And whether or not you post there depends on how Jay feels about you that day, or just what agenda or scheme he is promoting that week. Nevertheless, it has the best on-site reporting on America's last great shortline in real-time, and no "spin" from company shills. I wish Jay success and support him in spirit, if not with my cash.
