Goat Roots, Long Live the Goat

There is no rivalry between the NGDF and anyone, John.
I can't speak for the Goat anymore, and I can't speak for the folks who prefer one to the other, either.
We (Don and I and Frad T.) started the Goat here, as a split off of the NGDF. We started it to keep what was then both inappropriate and inflammatory posts regarding both the C&TS and The Friends off the NGDF. I gave it it's name. Ever since, it has worked as intended, with a few bumps along the way, and some hard feelings of contributers on both sides.
There is no rivalry on our part. We are GLAD we started it, and we are just as glad it has grown up. We are glad that so many folks read one or the other.
There is a lot more to the story, but none of it really matters any more, and it really never mattered much then, either. But rest assured, we hope the Goat lives on, doing exactly what WE started it to do, and more.
