Hi Guys
Thanks for your responce to my first posting to this thread, the information recieved was very useful and the thread has progressed with even more useful information. Especialy to the restoration site of 0579, lots of much needed detail pictures there.
I have posted a picture of caboose 0580 which I am scratch building along with 0575 and 0579 in 1.20.3 scale.
At the moment I am starting to build the underframe and would like to know if the underframe woodern part was painted since it would have been protected from the weather by the body above. I presume all the metal parts would have been painted if the wood was left unpainted?
