Todd,
I have a large collection of photos of NCNG #8, sadly I don't have a way to scan them at this time.
As far as details go here is a brief rundown:
When NCNG #8 was purchased from the D&RGW she was shopped by the SP in Sparks. There is conflicting information if she was shopped by the D&RGW or by the SP, however the style of steel cab on #8 appears more of an SP style cab than a D&RGW one.
The tender behind #8 came from #7 (ex C&C 4)and is a very short Semi-Cylindrical tender (Whaleback). If you need I can get you measurements of the tender frame and other basic dimensions.
As far as paint scheme of #8 the overall color is black with graphite smokebox and stack. The smokebox front was silver, cab windows had red frames and lettering was white with just a simple "8" on the cab sides. Based on photos I have in my collection and other published photos there does not to be any lettering or numbers on the tender.
If you need any more information or detail from photos feel free to send me an email and I'll take a look through my photos.
