Great to see that new 3' track equipment is still being designed.
Another recent tool was the conversion that the Friends of EBT did to a tie insertor from SG to dual gauge and it worked great. Pulled out the old tie and pushed in a new tie with only two men. They tied one south end shop track in a day.
The FEBT crew also spiked up that track with a small quiet air compressor and air gun. Progress is being made at increasing rates and the news magazines ignore all these rebuilding groups.
Trains magazine and other should do a large article on all the reconstruction going on across the nation from Maine to Hawaii-where a new 3' line just got built.
