Rod, in my original post, I intended to mention numerous archived posts on the Lilly and the Gote. I managed to edit it out somehow. Your reference to the independent contractor at Osier seems contradictory. The government is not running the operation. A private concern, contracted by the govt, is. In theory, any qualified business could be there. More importantly, Osier is essentially a ghost town, except when the trains stop there. Re the RR operating in 3 counties, not 2, you are correct. But as Bob Richardson stated in an interview in the video Narrow Rails Still Shine, no one lives anywhere between the two terminal towns. Hence my reference to 2 counties. I truly do wish the Friends and C&TMC every success. But every Operator from Kyle Scenic on down has had problems with inadequate funding by the Owners, and so could C&TMC. So maybe not a fumble, but a stumble.
