I looked in my resources and have found no pictures of the 5 stall version with the turntable. The best "uncluttered photo of the 9 stall house is in the C&TS Dispatch (Spring 2000) vol 13, No 1 taken in 1939. Of interest in this photo and several others is that there appear to be smoke jacks on the front (turntable end) of the first four stalls right behind the doors. (This photo also I think is in Dorman's book on page 23) The stack also shows on page 22 in a 1966 photo of the two stall house.
In the C&TS Dispatch (Vol 12 No.2, summer 1997) there is a letter and photo from Cornelius Hauch that says that the turntable was removed at the same time that the first 4 stalls were removed in 1946 (or47) depending upon what date you want to take as there are some differences in some sources.The pit was filled in and the tracks laid into the first two stalls as they are today. (I do have an AFE copy which apparently proposed also laying track into the third and fourth stalls but was cancelled before it was accomplished.) The photo that accompanies this letter is of the 5 stall version and shows the east wall which appears to be blank (no windows) but you can't tell what the material is, wood brick or what. In the spring 1998 Dispatch there is a photo of the Durango turntable which says it is like the Chama table and that the Chama table was removed in 1940 but I am skeptical of this caption as I think I have see photos of engines on the Chama table in the 1940's. To finish the picture the other 3 stall were removed in 1955. I did run into a notation (I can't remember where now) that said that a wall was erected between the No.6 and 7 stalls in 1929 and that part of the house use for storage after that.
My notes say the turntable came from Aspen but I am not sure of that. I have never seen a K37 on the table which I think is curious unless the table only had a 150 ton bridge capacity, a detail which is never stated that I have seem. There are pictures of K36's aplenty on the table bu no K37's. Off course the K36 weighed in at 298000 or so and the K37 at 307000 which could be the reason.
