Raytown is about an hour and a half from Bangor, however, there is no easy way in unless you are willing to walk. The best way in is to go through Katahdin Iron Works. You will have to pay a day use fee ($6 ME Resident, $9 Non-resident), and you can drive part way in. You'll have to hike the remaining 3 miles or so. You can get more info at www.northmainewoods.org.
