It looks like the rear ladder was painted aluminum. A back-up light will be mounted, but we have not decided specifically where. We discussed mounting a brake valve body on the pilot. This could present a hazard for anyone moving around on the pilot deck. Safety is our highest priority. However, we have not ruled it out. We have no intention of restoring the entire Priest flanger mechanism, as it is a big job and not necessary to the limited operations planned for 315. Incidentally, we applied the first coat of black paint to the locomotive yesterday.
Yes, we still need rerailers- two "Butterfly" frogs and to "Camel" style frogs.
