Re: Found along ROW

Many years ago some friends of mine found one of these "Fisher" plates, as I was told, near the location of the small bridge just below the Alpine Tunnel Station. It is buried somewhere in my X'es garage. She has promised she will give it to me when it turns up. When tha happens I want to give back to the location (Forest Service). It's nice to have these old relics, I guess, but they belong to ALLLLllll of us and I don't feel I have "the right" to keep it. Even though there are scads of them up there. I could have added to my "collection" just last year; I found one laying on the ground several miles from the Tunnel and I left it where it was! I hope it is still there and I hope it stays there!
