I was a day early. Channel 9 was videoing as the 12:45 p.m. train rolled into Silver Plume. I am the bald guy in the black shirt. Next time I will take my hat.
This was the first time I rode since 1997 and it was a very pleasant ride. It was interesting that the helper followed the train down. Andy Payne (retired D&RGW engineer) said that the helper always followed the train Chama to Gato as well.
