According to Tony' Howes excellent database of Louisiana Lumber Railroads, the Kentwood and Eastern was a subsidiary of Banner Lumber Company, which was owned by Brooks-Scanlon Corp. My other sources show that the K&E was abandoned in December, 1922. The other narrow gauge in the Kentwood area was the Kentwood, Greensburg and Southwestern, owned by the Kent family interests and abandoned in 1921. Tony's website also shows a Central Lumber company in Mississippi that was 3" gauge in the same time frame.
