I think the boiler was the frame on all three of his engines. They sat very low as a result.
I'd like to see the other scans from around town. Shay built a cast iron octagonal house in Harbor Springs that is now the Historical Society. He also built a steel steam boat, the remains of which are on Display in Mackinac City.
If you don't think this board is the place to post them, I'd love to see them back channel.
