Well, you can rent a standard gauge 2-8-0 on the Nevada Northern and make a run with the light engine from East Ely to Ruth and back (about 20 miles or a little less) and actually run the engine (under careful supervision, of course) on the whole mainline part of the trip for a good deal less than what the D&S charges for a cab ride. -- Ed
