A couple of replica small interurban cars are being built for a proposed line at San Pedro (Los Angeles) harbor. When the electric componets are deducted from the cost per car is about $500,000.
The cars have a steel underframe and steel framing for the body. Then they are getting a wood exterior and wood interior. Work is being done up in the northwest.
