FEC 148 is a sister to Savannah & Atlanta 750 (ex-FEC but I do not recall the FEC number). I spent many happy hours riding the tender of 750 as well as many hours helping service her (mainly holding the fire hose) when turning her on Southern steam excursions int he late 1960's and early 1970's.
As I do not think 750 will roll again in my life time, FEC 148 will be as close as I'll come to reliving it.
