I wasn't trying to imply much of anything. Just showing that it was being worked on when I got there and being steamed up by the time I left. I could tell that they put new air tanks on both sides and some new plumbing. I could also see that one of the axles was newly machined. One of the inspection ports was open on the valves once they pulled it outside. I was glad to see that three engines were about ready very early in the season. I missed a double header by a couple of days!
The train that I rode on friday wasn't all that full (at least on the way up). The car that I was in was half empty although they did have max cars for one loco. I spent most of my time in the open car and the weather was great. We did have a seating snaffu on the way back. My wife and girls had to find their own seats in another car. I didn't mind, like I said I camped out in the open car.
