Re: 484 coming back to life

Hehehe...No comment! Actually only times I've touched those locomotives is when I grab onto the grab irons to climb into the cab and a couple times I happend to be in the cab when they wanted to clean out the sanders so they had me turn them on and off for them...etc.
My point was that the valve covers being off does not really prove much, and the picture shows only the front of the locomotive. So by the picture, for all I know that was the only thing left to do. They must of been pretty close to lighting her off as the fan is on the stack.
Perhaps I completely misinterpreted the point Dave was trying to get across if any?
