I always suspected that the milk from my grandparents' dairy was going to places like La Jara and Antonito and maybe Chama. I doubt it would have gone much further as it would have been a long time in that milk can in an unrefrigerated baggage car. Maybe ice was used to keep it cool? I wish I had asked more of my grandmother about this.
