Promontory Point Loco Collision

May 13, 2006 08:11PM
Further down in this link is a story about a collision between the two replica steam locos at Promontory Point in Utah shortly after the commemoration ceremony. Both sustained damage to the pilot areas, sufficient in the case of the Jupiter that the pilot had to be removed before the loco could return to the engine house. No frame or other serious damage was reported.
