For anyone who would like to know, today I visited the Colorado Railroad Museum and saw that a couple projects are coming along. Former D&RGW #318 has been stripped down even more than before. Evidently, her drivers are ready to be placed back on the frame, but her boiler is stripped inside and out. All wheels, tubing, and flues are removed, and it is possible to see directly through the boiler out the firebox opening. She is supposedly the first piece of equipment that will be placed inside the new roundhouse for restoration. The roundhouse looks great, and the turntable is at the site, freshly painted and ready to be installed. The pit has been dug, and the place where the turntable will be attached is covered up. If anyone would like more info, below is the museum's web address.
