Poor old thing.
The lettering on the number plate is too large, the markers are missing, the discharge chute from the smoke arrestor is missing and the outside supports on the edge of the tender frame are way too large (notice the cutouts for the trucks). The lettering on the Passenger car is too thick and of an incorrect style.
To be fair, though, we can't hold Gilpin County responsible for most of this. A lot of this was done by the operator who "restored" the locomotive for its short-lived operation in Central City.
You'd think with all of that gambling money supposedly going to Historic Preservation that more could be done. I guess that the gambling revenue in Colorado went from being earmarked to the general fund.
