John,
If your question about the car was related to this year's trip, it was coach 332, one of the 1964 built cars.
The "Grande Gold" paint scheme was used on the Silverton, starting in 1950, but through 1954 there were two black stripes. Beginning in the summer of 1955, there was only one. It might be fun to try to recreate an early 1950's mixed. That extra black stripe shouldn't be too expensive to add.
Of course, you can always take your shot with the coach out of sight!
