I would like to thank everyone for responing to my post. It seems like this might be a hot topic and many people brought some good points. But now I have some more questions/opinions about these cars. First I think( this my opinion)it would not be hard to put end doors and maybe even platforms on the 54 and 65 something similar to the 053. The Durango and Silverton have the car 64 and it has end doors and platforms, but this isn't historically correct. Also someone said that trucks under the RPOs are wrong and they ride rough. Well in 2005 Carlos posted on his website that in the CTSRR roundhouse there are several sets of unfinished passenger wheelsets and they look like they are roller bearings. If you want to see pictures go to the first week of Feb, 2005 on Carlos's website. Maybe the trucks I mentioned could be used for these cars. Finally i think El Coke said the RPO cars are heavy. Well just how heavy are they and how do they compare to the passenger cars the CTSRR uses? Like I said at the beginning that I thank everyone who responed to my questions!!
