In our boxcar, number 3171, we've found some old very faded stenciling. I haven't been able to decipher one set of it, but these numbers are interesting. In the picture below you can see from left to right, the "G" from D&RG, as well as three numbers, the first possibly being a two, and then a pair of sixes, or a six and five. My question is, why is that in a 3000 series boxcar?
