We had thought 0579 suffered serious damage in the movie wreck, but there is a picture in Richardson's Chasing Trains which shows the 0579 in Alamosa with it's movie paint, mostly intact. So sometime between then and when it showed up in Antonito in the early 70's it suffered damage to both ends.
