Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't cabooses 0501, 0573, and 0579 all spend their last years on the Silverton branch? Used during the winter runs on the line for the track crews. 0501 and 0573 on the line until retirement in 1953? Also, did the 0579 stay in service on the line after its use in the movie? Or was in sent to Alamosa directly following the wreck? Did it get any damage during the wreck?
