90% of the original roof structure
50% of the roof decking
100% of clerestory hinges
interior doof frames and trim
the interior panel above the windows
steel reused: sag strut saddles and frame corner angles
everything else...
new.
all of the brass hardware: new (copied from original when possible.
all structural wood from the roof down: new
the trucks are from the White Pass and were completely rebuilt.
the couplers are new Janney's cast from patterns made for the Museum.
As far as terminology goes it is still a restoration. There simply was very little left that we were able to conserve.
The stock car and drop bottom gon look good from a distance, but don't sneeze too close.
