The Valuation maps do not answer your question. Is that 2nd street or 3rd street crossing? It looks like the result of the way the tracks were abandoned, and there was a switch in the crossing and they retained the turnout side and not the straight side. Sometimes, abandonments happen account of a derailment and a un-planned track layout results.
