A switchmens tour is a building that usually stood at one end of a yard, inside a switchman would pull big levers which were called armstrong levers (most likely because they were not easy to move) these levers would control the switches in the yard. I believe that train movements were recorded in these buildings as well, but not sure. Now that I think about it I don't believe that antonito ever had a switchmens tour, I remember now seeing photos of the yard in Rober W. Richardson's rio grande chasing the narrow gauge and I think the photos showed regular switchstands in place. The area where the track bows out could also have hosted some sort of a single, again not sure, just throwing out possible solutions.
