And they sound great too! They are superheated and have a nice loud exhaust. The whistles at Huanan were pretty screechy, but the ones at Weihe had very musical five chimes and sounded great in the woods. Coming up grade, you would think you were listening to a standard gauge Mikado working hard at 50 mph, then after a long time, a little 0-8-0 would heave into view, going about 15! Ugly little critters, but once you have seen and heard one, you gotta love 'em.
