Before writing off living history as viable, look at the solutions offered - more hands-on exhibits, and interactive activities for kids. Merely slapping on a chrome logo isn't going to increase ridership at all, and keeping things as authentic as possible is still the way these living histories are aimed, so the arguments given earlier about the practices on the C&TS still are valid.
It obviously will take some creative thinking to find ways to get people to the Chama-Antonito area, and maintaining the history of the place doesn't have to be sold out to do it.
