No photos, but the Little Pittsburgh/Detroit mine area was rebuilt in the early 1980s when those mines were briefly reopened. New trestle work and ore bins went in, the 2 SN boxcars from the Silverton yard were moved down there to form a warehouse, and it became a rather neat looking operation. Enter the Colo. Dept of Transportation 3 years ago on a road widening project directly above the water fall (green/blue stains on the rocks from a high copper content)and the 2 years of rock work and blasting completely covered the fall, seriously damaged the trestle work, some rocks even hit the side of one of the boxcar bodies, and generally messed things up. All apparently with the blessing of the owner of that group of mining claims.
There are several tunnels entering that mountain and they interconnect underground. Unfortunately, there's always been more speculation than production and the ore there is in small veins and scattered all over.
