You could be right Southpark. However the stuff we looked at was part of Stoddards show. Up on the "Curry line" of Baker White Pine which went to China Crk. there are quite a few joint bars upgrade from the Dean Crk. water tower site going toward Clear Crk. that are for heavier rail. I can't remember what. I'd guess at 30 or 35lb. Also out at White Pine which obviously was also part of Baker White Pines operation I found a joint bar that was also heavier. I don't know if we know for sure the photos are Baker White Pine, but the earlier photo of a Climax being rebuild in the woods probably was. I think SVCartoad told me that W.H.Eccles used 25lb rail. Imagine our 42ton Heisler on that little stuff. It would look about like the photos of the 4449 on the rolled over rail in proportion. Hope we can get together to do some more grade hiking next season.
