You're both right, and Neal Reich got it as well from a private email. The second photo was from the highway a bit before the Farmington Hill turnoff, and is a mad house of traffic these days. I'm beginning to think that for the newer generations, or newcomers, anything pre-Walmart in Durango is considered prehistoric. And a lot of people just don't observe their surroundings with interest or care.
