Right now there are no imediate plans to restore the 8. I think someday we would all like to see her steam again, but we just dont have the time or the manpower. With the 44 torn apart, doing our annual car work which by the way we are painting all of the covered cars this year, and doing the majore line shaft and wheel work on no.12 we are stretched as thin as can be. I think that the owners would like to see the 8 in the shop in the next 5 years which might be possible. All i can say is dont hold your breath to see the 8 under steam any time soon.
