Sorry for the late post on this subject, but... you might also want to check out the wye in Montrose. I found it particularly interesting. It was from the tail of this wye that the narrow gauge went east out of town toward Cerro. You can locate it by going South down Rio Grande St. from the depot. It is near the end of track, close to the candy factory.
The south leg is gone, it included the draw of course, but the rest of it is still there. The narrow gauge rail has been removed, but you can still see the evidence of it on the ties real clearly. In fact, most of the track in Montrose appears this way. Up till just a few years ago, the third rail was still embedded in some of the road crossings.
If you are in the area, a drive up to Cerro Summit is worth the trip too! The grade is real evident on both sides of the hill, and the depot and wye area on top are amazing...hardly looks as if the road has been gone fifty years!
