The Coach 20 was found in an area west of Portland and the man who owned it was going to restore it. He had put it back together and replaced some of the structual wood inside. The inside was gutted there was nothing on the inside of the car. The car consisted of the outside siding and the structual wall members. There was a few scraps of canvas still visable on the ceiling around nails. The car was transported to a shop in Portland where they tried to take the sag out of the center and painted the outside. The previous owner had painted the outside with a white "paint" (no one was sure what it was but some think it was linseed oil with white pigment added)and there was concern with paint sticking to it. From what I can remember the person who cut it in half never used it for anything like a chicken cage or wood shed but started to restore it but never finished the job.
