El Coke,
This is a shot in the dark. However, at the National Narrow Gauge Convention at Santa Clara in 2004, there was an excellent presentation on both the Nevada Central and the Eureka & Palisade. I saw lots of new material, previously unpublished photos, etc. I can not remember the name of the speaker. No, it was not Mal Ferrell. If you could get this person's name, it may just point you in the right direction.
