John, the use of the Burlington Route herald on all C&S standard gauge motive power followed very soon after their acquisition by the "Q".
Not only was the use of the trademark herald adopted, but the numerals and other lettering was identical to those specified by the "Q".
"C&S" was still identified under the numbers, and the engines kept their original C&S numbers. A similar policy was followed by the FW&D.
Because the "Q" didn't want their name on antiquated narrow gauge equipment, none of the C&S ng equipment was lettered for the Burlington while in regular service.
