Taylor, I agree that is probably one or the other. I looked at the photos last night in R.S.&P, but now can't remember which was which. One engine is slightly larger, one being a 35 ton and the other a 40 ton. One of them has a distintive handrail along the sides of the boiler and comming down the front on the smokebox. It kept this railing even on the deadline waiting to be scrapped, the other engine did not have this. Also the smaller of the 2 has the steam line from the dome kinda exposed above the upper walkway on the boiler, while on the larger one the line drops below the catwalk. If you have R.S.&P handy you may be able to figure which is which. Also of note is that 5 was originally built as #3 for Stoddard.
