I heard that both the new and old cars were under 5 feet of water. There are efforts already underway to find a qualified contractor to rebuild them. Any electronics are toast, all electrics need to be cleaned, baked and all bearings replaced. Each carbody will probably have to be completely stripped, repaired, sealed, and all wood replaced. And as a very knowledgable friend of mine in the traction field asks "What was in the water?" There could be extreme corrosion problems if the rebuilding is not thorough.
