Re: New Orleans Trolley

The New Orleans trolley's most well-known line was(is) the St Charles car that runs from Canal St. through the beautiful Garden District. It is my understanding that the Garden District, like the Veaux Carre, was on high ground and did not see the disasterous flooding like the 9th Ward, where a "Streecar named Desire" once ran to. Canal St. was underwater and the tracks were submerged here. I am guessing that the overhead wires was damaged by high wind, so I doubt the lines are operating yet.
